Who are these people? What do they do? And what are they longing for? Ever since she was a small girl Malina has been wondering about the nature of everyone she met. Growing up, she preserved this childlike curiosity that led her into photography and acting. Taking pictures enables her to study other people in depth; playing roles allows her to become them.

She studied acting at the Akademie für Darstellende Kunst in Ulm, working at theaters in Germany, e.g. the Staatstheater Hannover. She also features in several movies, among them ‘Irina Palm’ by Sam Garbarski, ‘Der Fall Bruckner’ by Urs Egger, ‘Spreewaldkrimi’ by Christoph Stark and ‘Pampa Blues’ by Kai Wessel. A born Pole living in Gemany, her double identity is often being mirrored in the characters she plays. As a photographer Malina is always looking for the soul behind the ‚persona' – the latin word for ‚mask'. Through her camera, she is asking the same old questions, time and again: Who are you? What do you do? And what are you longing for?
